Summary : This
study explains that to improve the success in learning writing Thai students
studying at UMP (Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto) in Central Java,
Indonesia, using BIPA method (Bahasa Indonesia
untuk Penutur Asing or Language Teaching Indonesia for Non-Native
Speaker). BIPA teaching materials have purpose to suit the needs of the students
at a semester at UMP also BIPA teaching materials used to facilitate tutors and
learners to carry out learning. From the experiments of using BIPA ,showed
that the use of BIPA can ts' ability when learning to writing, the score of
students who previously did not use BIPA now rise after using it. However, the
use of BIPA must use appropriate teaching materials and the lecturers must be
able to properly manage them. And it is expected that in the future BIPA can be
used in other research such as reading, speaking and other subject.
